IPCA's main mission is to organize chess tournaments for disabled chess players of all ages who are members of IPCA. Prior to the creation of IPCA, many disabled chess players could not participate in high-ranking tournaments. IPCA teams have been participating in the FIDE Olympics since 2002.

In IPCA's 25-year history, the following high-ranking chess tournaments have been organized, such as the IPCA Chess Olympiads, the IPCA Personal European Championships and the IPCA Personal World Championships. So far, these tournaments have been held in the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Croatia and Serbia. In June 2018, the 18th IPCA Personal Chess World Championship was organized, which took place in Prague in the Czech Republic. The right to organize the 19th IPCA World Championship 2019 was won by Slovakia, which was held in Ruzhomberok.

With your help and donations IPCA will be able to continue its important work.
